The delegate of the Cádiz Free Trade Zone presents in Extenda the strengths of the province to operate in international markets

Fran González spoke with a presentation in which he highlighted the great opportunity of having a free zone for the outsourcing of companies.

The head of the Consortium, which manages two tax centers in Cádiz capital and the Bay of Algeciras, has described the Free Zone as the international gateway to other continents

The Free Trade Zone of Cádiz, due to its strategic location and its centuries-old experience in foreign trade, is the natural international gateway to other continents such as Africa and America. This was stated by the State delegate in the Cádiz Free Trade Zone, Fran González, during his speech this morning at Extenda Global 2021, which is being held in Seville and concludes today.

Fran González participated with a presentation titled “Free Zone, your international door” that took place at the Extenda stand and registered a full capacity with a good number of attendees from other countries.

The person in charge of the Free Zone has insisted that companies must take advantage of the opportunity of having not one but two tax precincts in the province of Cádiz, one in the capital and another in the Bay of Algeciras, which structure the logistics capacity of the province by uniting the two Bays and which, with their customs and tax advantages, provide companies with great cost savings.

González has reviewed the history and origins of the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz after almost a century since its creation, explaining that "it was born in 1929 with an international vocation since a century before, King Ferdinand VII had granted the free port to the city to alleviate a crisis situation, establishing a precedent that definitively confirmed the seal of Cádiz as an expert city in trading with the world."

In part of his speech, the delegate of the Free Zone referred to the current strategy that the management of the entity has set, which is none other than the recovery of the essence of the Free Zone, the return to the origins. "We are reinforcing the activity linked to foreign trade, especially taking into account that we are in full development of the Bahía de Algeciras Tax Precinct that will multiply the internationalization activity of the Cádiz Free Zone. We must not forget that the new post-Covid scenario makes logistics and foreign trade appear as the engines of economic reconstruction, all from a new perspective, a new industrial model based on sustainability and respect for the environment,” he said.

In addition to the intervention of its head, the Cádiz Free Trade Zone has participated in Extenda Global 2021 with a stand in which numerous national and international contacts have been carried out.

Extenda Global 2021, which was held at the Seville Exhibition and Congress Palace, is the largest international trade forum held in Andalusia and aims to increase the number of exporting companies and the geographical diversification of Andalusian exports.

The meeting had a complete agenda of conferences and around twenty exhibitors in which, during the two days, the main strategic agents of the sector and the Extenda Foreign Network, of the Regional Government of Andalusia, met with Andalusian companies to hold B2B meetings in which to program their international actions for the following year, and to be able to access news and services related to foreign trade.
