A medical specialties clinic will be installed in the Las Caballerizas building that the Free Zone of Cádiz rehabilitated and recovered in the center of Jerez located annex to the San Agustín convent. This has been endorsed by the State delegate in the Cadiz institution, Fran González, and the representative of Polyclinic Jerez, Javier Álvarez Marrodán, in the signing ceremony of the lease contract that has taken place today in the central courtyard of the San Agustín Convent Building.
The polyclinic, which will come into operation at the end of the year once the adaptation works are carried out, will occupy the total of the 730 m2 of the Las Caballerizas building, which is distributed in three floors - the decline has 302 m2, the first, 227 m2 and the second, 200 m2 - that will house the consultations of a wide range of medical specialties, also covering services offered by different medical insurers.
The act, in which the managing director of the Clinic, Francisco Rodríguez, and the executive director of the Visalud Group, Eduardo Lobo, have also been attended by the mayor of the municipality, Mamen Sánchez, who has been congratulated by the installation of this health center, which will create 20 jobs.
It should be noted that the medical group has more than 30 years of experience and has about twenty clinics mostly distributed in Western Andalusia.

The signed lease contract contemplates an initial period of five extendable years and has a series of favorable conditions with bonuses for installation and works of adaptation of the spaces, which were included in the public marketing offer.

This building is part of a business complex that the free zone developed in the center of Jerez, recovering an old convent for use as a business center. With the work of Rehabilitation Zone Free has recovered a building built in the seventeenth century and of great historical and architectural value, including the cistern that came to light with the works and that is dated in 1690.
The business center is built around the renovated cloister of what was the old church, built in 1624 and demolished in 1919. San Agustín later became a barracks for the infantry and then for the Civil Guard until it was abandoned, hence the lamentable state. that it presented and the merit of some work that has required the construction of 17 new arches and the restoration of another nine with stone brought from the quarry of the San Cristóbal mountain range, as well as the reconstruction of 16 vaults and the rehabilitation of 14, among other works.
