The Ubrique incubator in the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz is already hosting its second batch of companies

Ten companies have taken over from the previous ones, which successfully completed the three-year incubation period in these modern industrial warehouses with offices located in the La Piel industrial estate.

The delegate of the Consortium, Fran González, and the mayor of Ubrique, Isabel Gómez, held a first institutional meeting today, in which they addressed the success obtained by the nursery since its opening

The nurserymen are mostly self-employed and generate direct employment of more than 20 workers

The incubator was developed to facilitate the start and consolidation of newly created companies in the area, thanks to the collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce through FEDER funds from the INCYDE Foundation

The incubator of the Cádiz Free Trade Zone in Ubrique has successfully completed the renewal process of its incubated companies after the three-year stay of the first ten entrepreneurs. This was confirmed today by the State delegate of the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz, Fran González, and the mayor of the municipality, Isabel Gómez, during a first institutional meeting in which they addressed the success of the incubator model that the Consortium has in the municipality's La Piel industrial estate, which was developed in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce of Cádiz through the INCYDE Foundation to respond to the demand for spaces for entrepreneurs existing in the area and promote start of activity and consolidation of newly created companies.

The delegate and the mayor have agreed to value very positively the good reception of the young business community in the area that has responded for the second time to the public offer launched to market the incubator within the renewal cycle of these spaces in which ten new companies have replaced the first ten that were installed in 2016 and that have already met the maximum period of use of the warehouses, which amounts to three years, including all extension options.

Given this success in marketing, both leaders have agreed on the need to explore new avenues of collaboration to continue offering spaces of opportunity to newly created companies in the area, with a clear commitment to innovation and technological development around the leather goods sector as the spearhead of the region.

Most of the business projects currently incubated are led by self-employed workers and their activity varies from the leather goods sector to the automotive and mechanical sectors; logistics and distribution; and sound, lighting and video, among others. For their incubation in the incubator, all these projects have been scaled according to the selection criteria of the public offer that valued above all the innovative nature, the volume of investment, the start date of the activity and the creation of jobs. In this sense, new companies will generate more direct employment positions.

It must be remembered that this infrastructure has ten warehouses, eight of which have a surface area of 133 m.2 and the other two have a size of 147 m2. All of them have a mezzanine with an office and are equipped with the best qualities. They are marketed with very favorable economic conditions for the entrepreneur that also include services from the Consortium such as advice and business guidance, all focused on promoting competitiveness and allowing greater growth of these new businesses.
