The Executive Committee of the Consortium has authorized the contract to the company Sevillana de Servicios 2000, which will be in charge of dismantling and removing equipment, self-supporting warehouses and sheet metal.
The action will make it possible to have some 20,000 m2 prepared to house new companies in the capital's tax precinct.
Today, the Cádiz Free Trade Zone has taken another step in the development of the tax area on the land occupied by the former Altadis tobacco company and which is now part of the Consortium with its corresponding customs and tax advantages.
At its meeting this morning, the Executive Committee authorized the sale and purchase of material from the Altadis facilities to the company Sevillana de Servicios 2000, which will be in charge of dismantling, removing and recycling different materials.
The winning company, which will carry out the work for an amount of 600,000 euros, has a completion period of 10 months and a two-month grace period for the necessary processing.
Zona Franca de Cádiz has made a strong commitment to promoting the commercialization and attraction of companies in its facilities throughout the province and this public offer is part of the development of the commercialization of spaces in the tax area after its expansion with the land of the ancient Altadis.
In fact, this action will leave about 20,000 m2 of space free and ready for the installation of new companies in the place occupied by three old warehouses linked together by an electric track that, in the old tobacco facilities, served for the automated movement of merchandise between warehouses. They will be dismantled and recycled (they may also be reused in another activity), among other materials, various equipment, storage warehouses with metal shelves, sheet metal warehouses, etc., that were inside the facilities and that due to their condition or age are They had become obsolete.
