Institutional visit of the rector of the UCA to the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz

The delegate, Victoria Rodríguez, and Francisco Piniella are committed to relaunching lines of joint work that promote entrepreneurial culture based on innovation and technology in their first meeting.

The State delegate in the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz, Victoria Rodríguez, and the rector of the University of Cádiz (UCA), Francisco Piniella, held a first institutional meeting yesterday in which they assessed the need to resume y reinforce the lines of collaboration between the two entities around promoting the values ​​of entrepreneurship and the internationalization among the young people of Cádiz.

Rodríguez and Piniella, who was accompanied by José M. Sánchez, general director of 3E: Entrepreneurship, Business and Graduates of the UCA and who is already working with Zona Franca on some projects, agreed to begin a new stage that involves the promotion and consolidation of joint actions that result in the development of technological knowledge and innovation as drivers of job creation in the province.

For the Free Zone delegate, Victoria Rodríguez, "the Consortium is convinced that we are beginning a journey in which we will continue working together and optimizing the synergies of the two institutions throughout the province, in favor of creating opportunities for entrepreneurship and, therefore, employment based on the research and technological potential of our land. Public institutions have to put all our efforts into innovation, in the digital era, in being at the forefront so that our business fabric is increasingly competitive and consolidates, grows, internationalizes and expands its borders.”

Along these lines, the delegate also explained that the Free Zone works from the conviction that public administrations must create spaces to accompany young people in the leap from training cycles to the reality of the labor market, an area of ​​work in which avenues of collaboration are also opened with the Cádiz university.
