Zona Franca puts material from the old Altadis facilities up for sale

The public offer opened on Friday and will remain until 2:00 p.m. on July 31

The auctioned material includes equipment, self-supporting and sheet metal buildings and is detailed on the Consortium's website

The Cádiz Free Trade Zone published on Friday the tender notice for which material from the facilities of the former tobacco company Altadis is put up for sale for a total amount of 720,728.03 euros (VAT included).

The public offer, which can be consulted on the Consortium's website and which will remain open until 2 p.m. on July 31, details the content of what was auctioned, which includes equipment, self-supporting and sheet metal warehouses, among other materials.

The company awarded the offer will be in charge of disassembly, removal and recycling, although it may also be reused for another activity, and must be completed within a maximum period of 90 days.

This public offer is part of the development of the commercialization of spaces in the fiscal area after its expansion with the purchase of these lands occupied by the former tobacco factory.

In this way, various equipment, storage warehouses with metal shelves, sheet metal warehouses, etc., which were inside the facilities and which due to their condition or age had become obsolete, have been sold through public auction.

Zona Franca acquired the Altadis lands in June 2015 and in March 2016 the Ministry of Finance granted authorization for that space to be a tax area, so the Free Zone of Cádiz currently has 486,881 m2 with the corresponding customs and tax advantages.
