The business centers in Jerez, Algeciras, Vejer, Arcos and Chiclana have gone from 37 to 58% in just six months
The Consortium is strengthening the commercial department in order to optimize promotion and attract new companies to its facilities
In the last six months, the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz has reinforced the marketing of its equipment in the province in order to add value to the facilities that have been developed in recent years and that in some cases were underused, so after a thorough analysis of the projects and a study of the needs of each of them, a response has been given by intensifying the promotion of these spaces.
The boost to the commercial department that began in July 2018, when the new delegate took office, has begun to bear fruit and the Consortium's new buildings in Jerez, Algeciras, Vejer, Arcos and Chiclana have gone from 37% occupancy to 58% in just six months, with the total increase in occupancy being 20.2%.
The analysis of the actions and existing equipment has revealed a clear need: the optimization of resources and the need to make the Free Zone spaces known to the socioeconomic fabric to attract new companies.
To this end, we have opted for a significant reinforcement of the commercial department to make it a more current area and in which one of the strong points to take into account will be the vocation of foreign trade, even more so against the background of the celebration of the 90th anniversary in 2019.
In this context, the buildings developed in recent years are those that have experienced the strongest increase, with the Iro business center in Chiclana being the one that has offered the greatest growth, with 65%, followed by the Nexus building, in Algeciras, with 21%.
The Free Trade Zone buildings in the interior of Cádiz capital have had almost no variation in their occupancy level since, as the nerve center, the facilities located there have always had a great response from the business community and the occupancy data offer very positive figures, with Europa being 100%, Heracles 95% and the rest around 70%.
Also in the city of Cádiz we must highlight a fact that is significant and that is the increase in occupancy registered in recent months in the gallery of the Carranza building, with a growth of 26% after the installation of new companies such as the recently inaugurated gym, the López Cano Group medical center opened in the month of August and a new company that will be presented shortly.
The line of work undertaken in July has also made it possible to see movement in facilities that had not offered the expected response from the business community. Such is the case of the Los Isletes Industrial Park in San José del Valle, whose occupancy is already around 60%, having increased by 15% in these six months.
This commitment to strengthening promotional efforts is part of the management strategy undertaken by the new delegate, Victoria Rodríguez, who has always defended the idea of creating attractive scenarios that attract companies, with a creative vision and enhancing the resources available for the promotion of the facilities.
