The Consortium delegate, Victoria Rodríguez, and the mayor of the town, José María Román, visit the facilities of this business facility which, with the arrival of the new company, is at 84% occupancy
The hemodialysis center will occupy a ground floor location 875 m2 and plans an investment of 2.4 million euros, cutting-edge technology and the creation of 36 direct jobs.
The State delegate in the Free Zone, Victoria Rodríguez, and the mayor of Chiclana, José María Román, visited the Iro business center this morning, which the Free Zone has managed in the municipality for three years.
Rodríguez and Román have toured the building facilities accompanied by the president of the Chiclana Business Association, Antonio Junquera, members of the Government team and technicians of the Consortium, as well as the CEO of the Avericum company, Javier Artiles, who has announced the installation of a hemodialysis center on the ground floor of the building.
During the visit they supervised the work to prepare the premises for the hemodialysis center, which will provide comprehensive services to chronic kidney patients and their families.
In fact, after being awarded this service by the Andalusian Health Service (SAS), the company will treat patients from the area of influence of Chiclana, dependent on Social Security, and those from the rest of Spain who visit the area, depending on the SAS reference hospital.
Victoria Rodríguez thanked Javier Artiles for the trust placed in Zona Franca when choosing a location for this medical center that will provide an important service and act as the engine of the entire building to attract new companies and whose planned investment is 2.4 million euros, with a forecast of creating 36 new direct jobs.
For his part, the mayor congratulated the delegate for the installation of this company in the Zona Franca building, pointing out that "he could not have a better letter of introduction in Chiclana." He also thanked the CEO of Avericum for his company's commitment to the municipality and highlighted the benefits of the building for the arrival of new companies.
In this sense, Javier Artiles also had words of gratitude to both Zona Franca and the City Council, "who have provided all the facilities so that the hemodialysis center can be installed here." He has also explained that it is expected to begin providing service in February and will receive many patients during the holiday period, in many cases doubling those treated in the winter period and is designed with the intention of resembling as little as possible a health center and more like a place where the patient feels at home, within the architectural possibilities.
The CEO added that it will have the latest technologies in the hemodialysis market and state-of-the-art monitors, with the capacity to care for 192 patients and with the possibility of expanding to up to 220 patients, who will also have a dietitian and psychologist.
The start of the activity of the hemodialysis center will serve as a favorable element for the economic activity of the entire municipality and especially in the business center, where a permanent public offer is currently open, with the availability of eight offices and prices between 160 and 330 euros.
It must be remembered that Zona Franca developed this building as a business center in 2015 after the acquisition and adaptation work of the ground and first floor and co-financed by funds requested in the Framework of the Feder de Andalucía Operational Program 2007-2013. The center is made up of 18 offices between 17.11 and 45.43 m2, one of them enabled as a meeting room, and a premises of 875 m2, and which is currently at 84% occupancy, after the arrival of the hemodialysis center and the relaunch of marketing by Zona Franca, which has strengthened the actions aimed at this in recent weeks, an impulse that is already bearing fruit in a greater number of interested parties in its facilities.
