The State delegate in the Free Trade Zone, Victoria Rodríguez, and the mayor of Cádiz, José María González, signed this morning the action protocol to carry out the development of the outer industrial estate of the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz.

The document signed today lays the foundations for what will be the collaboration agreement that defines the joint work between the two administrations to efficiently carry out the development of this project, of great importance for the city and for the socioeconomic fabric of the capital.

This action protocol has been agreed upon by technicians from both administrations and was authorized by the City Council's Governing Board on Friday, October 19. Its content includes the creation of an information point for the management of industrial and tertiary land for the coordination of works, which will be made up of personnel and resources from both entities.

Since taking office in July, Victoria Rodríguez defined the development of the outer industrial zone of the Free Trade Zone as a priority and took the initiative to promote the reactivation of the project.

In this context, the person in charge of Zona Franca considers this project fundamental for the city and believes that the development of the Ibérica Aga plot could serve as a pilot experience and thus begin with an entrepreneurial space, an area of employment generation for young people that provides dynamism, that benefits the productive and social fabric of the city of Cádiz.

For his part, the mayor of Cádiz, José María González, hopes that "a new stage of collaboration and transparency will open with the Free Trade Zone and has highlighted the need to promote a space that must become one of the economic engines of this city. "From the City Council they will always find a climate of collaboration that has an impact on the benefit of Cádiz and the generation of employment."
