Free Trade Zone, present at the business meeting of the Campo de Gibraltar Chamber of Commerce with ambassadors from Asia and the Pacific

The State delegate in the Consortium, Alfonso Pozuelo, exchanges information with the diplomatic group on the advantages that the Free Zone offers for investments and foreign trade operations

The State delegate in the Cádiz Free Trade Zone Consortium, Alfonso Pozuelo, attended a business event this morning at the headquarters of the chamber in Algeciras, within the framework of the visit that a group of ambassadors from Asia and Oceania is making in Algeciras. The group of diplomats and ambassadors who have been present at the meeting - specifically from Thailand, India, Malaysia, New Zealand, Australia and Vietnam - have had the opportunity to learn about the business and industrial structure of the Region, showing their interest in the business opportunities that the Bay of Algeciras area can offer to entrepreneurs from their respective nations.

In this sense, the Consortium delegate has been able to exchange information with ambassadors and diplomats about the tax and customs advantages and the business services and facilities offered by the Free Trade Zone throughout the province and especially in Campo de Gibraltar.

Pozuelo has delved into the important productive spaces of the Free Trade Zone and the range of opportunities that open up as sources of investment attraction for the internationalization of companies, foreign trade and competitiveness, forming a logistics zone of high economic and business interest around the Port of Algeciras. The group has shown great interest in delving into these business opportunities, which is why they have contacted the Free Trade Zone delegate to maintain contacts to exchange and specify possible lines of action in the province.

The meeting was chaired by the president of the Chamber of Commerce, Carlos Fenoy; the mayor of Algeciras, José Ignacio Landaluce; the dean of the group of ambassadors, Bakyt Dyussenbayev; the territorial delegate of Economy, Innovation, Science and Employment, Gema Pérez and the president of the Association of Large Industries, Manuel Doblado. During the session, Fenoy and Doblado made a technical presentation of the economic structure of the region and its potential.

The session was attended by businessmen from different sectors and large industries based in the Bay of Algeciras area, as well as the presence of the president of the Commonwealth of Municipalities, Luis Ángel Fernández and representatives of the Algeciras City Council and the Bahía de Algeciras Port, among others.
