First working meeting between the mayor of Algeciras and the new Special delegate of the Cádiz Free Trade Zone

The mayor of Algeciras, José Ignacio Landaluce, held a first working meeting this morning with the new Special Delegate of the State in the Cádiz Free Trade Zone, Alfonso Pozuelo, in which they reviewed the different pending projects in which the Tax Institution is directly involved and which are fundamental for the economic development of Campo de Gibraltar.

At the meeting, which was also attended by the deputy mayor delegates of the Treasury, Luis Ángel Fernández; of Urban Planning, Diego González de la Torre; and Coordination, Eva Pajares, as well as technicians from different areas, the project of the tracks for the driving exams was discussed; the proper functioning of the Nexus building; as well as the large projects for roads and railways, with special emphasis on the Southern Access, both for the accesses to the Cortijo Real, and for the future fiscal and customs area that is in the study phase and planned for that area.

The mayor thanked the new delegate for his deference to the city with this visit after his inauguration, and highlighted the importance of the Free Trade Zone for both Algeciras and Campo de Gibraltar as a fundamental engine for generating economic activity and as support for port companies.

The Free Trade Zone delegate expressed his intention to renew the commitments acquired by his predecessor and to once again highlight the Logistics Platform of Southern Andalusia, in which Algeciras is the head.
