Transportes Piedra occupies a plot of 11,306 m2 in the Zona Franca complex in Los Pastores, Algeciras

This company is already working in facilities in the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz, specifically in El Fresno in Los Barrios

Grupo Piedra, a maritime-port services company in the Bay of Algeciras, values ​​the strategic location of the plots offered by the Consortium to develop its activity

This Wednesday, the Free Zone Contracting Board awarded Transportes Piedra SL a plot of 11,306 m2 in sector 8 of Los Pastores in Algeciras, land where the Tax Precinct will be located in this municipality.

This occupation is carried out temporarily until the procedures to establish the Tax Precinct on said land are completed, a project that is already very advanced and in which the Zona Franca and Algeciras City Council are working together.

In fact, once the final approval of the General Urban Planning Plan of Algeciras (PGOU) is resolved, Zona Franca will be able to proceed with the drafting of the Urbanization Project for a fiscal and customs area of ​​125,000 m2, which will form a large area with productive spaces for the implementation of new companies and the attraction of investments, which generate economic activity and employment for the area.

Transportes Piedra, which will use these more than 11,000 m2 as a place to repair and store maritime containers, is already a user of the Free Zone facilities, specifically in the land where the Free Zone Tax Precinct will be located in El Fresno, Los Barrios.

On a 1,500 m2 plot, this maritime-port services company Piedra has a weighing and verification center for maritime containers destined for export, with two bridge-type industrial scales with a weighing capacity of 60,000 kg, expandable to five depending on the effective market volume; access ramps; vehicle and container license plate detection viewer; office module; and concreting 20 meters long by 4 meters wide for each scale unit.

The company especially values ​​the location of the facilities that the Free Zone has in the Region, land that it considers strategic and perfectly connected, a prelude to the Northern access to the Port and with easy access from the Mediterranean highway A-7 and the Jerez-Los Barrios Highway A-381.
