Free Zone and Rota City Council, willing to discuss the construction of a Business Center in the city of Rota

The Consortium has already sold 17 of the 28 warehouses built in the town

The State delegate in the Free Trade Zone, Jorge Ramos, and the mayor of Rota, José Javier Ruiz, accompanied by technicians from both institutions, met this Thursday at the Consortium's Headquarters, a meeting in which they addressed the settlement of the agreement by which they have carried out the construction of the 28 nest ships once the costs (purchase of land, construction, etc.) have been closed, from an economic point of view.

Zona Franca has sent the economic liquidation proposal to the Rota City Council today so that, once it has been analyzed and approved by the corresponding municipal bodies, the liquidation agreement can be signed.

Likewise, within the power of the City Council contained in the aforementioned agreement, the first mayor of Rota has expressed his intention to keep 5 warehouses and for Zona Franca to continue with the marketing of the 6 that remain, once the Consortium has already sold 17 of them.

Likewise, Ramos and Ruiz Arana addressed expressing in a protocol of intentions the mutual interest to develop a Business Center in the town, on a lot owned by the City Council in front of the main entrance of the Naval Base and which has already been appraised.

In this sense, the Free Trade Zone delegate will soon send the draft of this protocol for signature by both institutions on a date to be determined. The protocol of intentions would regulate the way in which the execution of this Business Center would be carried out.
