The Special Delegate of the State in the Free Zone of Cádiz, Jorge Ramos, and the mayor of San Roque, Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix, held a new meeting yesterday at the Consortium's Headquarters, accompanied by their respective technical teams, to delve into the lines of collaboration between both, which include the possibility of building a Free Zone business center in the municipality, specifically in the Diego Salinas Building.
The Building, a former military barracks located in the Plaza de las Constituciones in San Roque, is property of the Junta de Andalucía, so it would be necessary to study in detail how to proceed with the transfer, which could be through sale or concession to the Free Trade Zone by the Andalusian Government.
Jorge Ramos has shown himself willing to collaborate and both parties will begin contacts with Patrimony in the coming days to analyze the terms in which the procedures can be carried out.
Furthermore, next week a team of Zona Franca technicians will travel to San Roque to see the building, of more than 3,000 m2 and which would also house the municipality's courts, and study its possibilities to become a business center with the characteristics of those built by Zona Franca once the necessary rehabilitation is carried out.
With this new business center, very necessary for the municipality of San Roque because it would be an important focus of generating economic activity, Zona Franca would now have 16 facilities of this type operational throughout the province, with more than 70,000 m2 of facilities that respond and cover the business and entrepreneurial fabric of the entire province.
