Students of the middle and upper cycle of Administration and Finance of the Rafael Alberti Institute of Cádiz visit the Free Trade Zone

The group learned first-hand about the work of the Consortium and visited the Heracles and Melkart company buildings, the Business Center of the Europa building and the Andalusian Documentary Services (SDA) company.

A group of 40 students from the middle and upper cycle of Administration and Finance of the Rafael Alberti Institute of Cádiz visited the facilities of the Free Trade Zone in Cádiz on Thursday, within the open doors program of the Consortium to make citizens aware of its work and that of the companies installed in its Interior Campus.

The day began in the auditorium of the Heracles Building, where the Commercial Director of Zona Franca, Javier Gutiérrez, offered a talk about the projects that the Consortium is carrying out in Cádiz and other municipalities in the province, where it is developing the largest network of Business Centers in Andalusia and is immersed in a project to enlarge and expand the tax area, very advanced in Cádiz with the inclusion of the old land of Altadis as a tax precinct.

After visiting the Melkart building, the group took a walking tour of the tax premises – scale, Atlas building, Harinera Vilafranquina, paddle tennis courts, among others – until reaching the Europa building where the students and teachers visited the Business Center on the 3rd and 4th floors. One of the Center's managers guided them through the training and coworking rooms, one of the services that is most popular among young entrepreneurs in the capital.

Subsequently, the facilities of the Andalusian Documentary Services (SDA) were visited, where the work and details of this file management, digitization, document custody, and destruction service were shown, which in addition to the Cádiz headquarters is also located in Seville and Algeciras.

Finally, students and teachers ended their visit in the Plenary Hall of the Institution, where they were received by the Special Delegate of the State, Jorge Ramos, who thanked them for their interest in the Consortium and encouraged them to count on the collaboration of the Institution once they begin their professional journey, while urging them to delve deeper in future visits into everything related to international trade through the day-to-day life of the Free Zone.

The guided tour program, launched by the Free Trade Zone in 2013, has as its main objective to make the Institution known to Cádiz society and, specifically, to young people, who are involved in the activity and projects that are being carried out.
