The State delegate, Jorge Ramos, received Gemma García, along with part of her board of directors, and congratulated her on her recent appointment
During the meeting at the Headquarters, the Chief of Staff of the Free Trade Zone, Tania Barcelona, encouraged to continue counting on the Consortium as a “travel companion” to promote initiatives that favor the implementation of women in the Cádiz business fabric.
After a review of the joint initiatives carried out in 2015 such as the Women's Weekend, during the work meeting new ideas emerged to implement this year, for which they were scheduled to advance them in future meetings.
The president of the Association of Business and Professional Women of the province of Cádiz (AMEP), Gemma García, visited the Free Zone of Cádiz yesterday morning accompanied by the vice president, Manuela Barrero and the general secretary, Adelina Moreno, within the framework of the first institutional visit to the Consortium since taking office last month.
During the meeting, the Special State Delegate, Jorge Ramos, congratulated the president and her management team on their recent appointment and gave way to a working meeting with the Zona Franca Chief of Staff, Tania Barcelona, who made herself available to the new board of directors to continue the line of collaboration that Zona Franca and AMEP have maintained in recent years to promote actions aimed at promoting economic activity and job creation among the women.
In this sense, after taking a tour of some of the initiatives in which the Consortium collaborated during 2015 with the Association, such as the “IX AMEP Awards for Business Career” or the Women's Weekend, during the meeting new ideas of mutual collaboration emerged that could be developed in 2016, so they were called upon to maintain contacts in the coming weeks to continue advancing and materializing these initiatives.
For her part, Gemma García thanked the Consortium for its support and pledged to continue working along the same lines with institutions such as the Free Trade Zone with the main objective of eliminating the obstacles that women encounter in the development of their activities and taking advantage of synergies and achieving better business positioning and the visibility of women's businesses in the global market.
