In view of the important presence in the Region with business and industrial projects, it is necessary for the Consortium to have a headquarters in the area.
These offices, which will be operational in the next six months, will provide closeness and operability to the management of the expansion to new tax precincts in Los Barrios, La Línea and Algeciras
In addition, they will centralize and provide coverage for the infrastructure already available in the Region and the planned actions.
The Nexus Building of the Cádiz Free Trade Zone in Algeciras will house the Consortium's headquarters in Campo de Gibraltar, which will be open within six months and will respond to the needs of proximity and operability given the scale of the projects launched in this area in recent years.
The Free Trade Zone's commitment to the Region and the creation of new productive spaces included in the project to enlarge and expand the Fiscal Precinct on land in Cortijo Real in Algeciras, El Fresno in Los Barrios, and in La Línea makes it necessary to have an office that centralizes management in the Region.
In addition, to the extension and expansion project of the Free Zone and the Almanzor Building in La Menacha opened in 2003, there are now other infrastructures launched by the Consortium in recent months and that are in the process of commercialization, such as the Nexus Building itself or the Palmones business incubator, in Los Barrios.
From this headquarters, which will be located in offices in the Nexus Building, on Pérez Arriete Avenue next to the Campo de Gibraltar Chamber of Commerce, both the marketing work of modules, offices, warehouses, etc., as well as any other procedure, management or coordination of services that have to do with any Free Trade Zone facility in the Region will be attended to.
It must be remembered that the Free Trade Zone activity and projects in Campo de Gibraltar are intense and the Consortium currently has two buildings in Algeciras - the Almanzor and the Nexus -, with a total of 11,240 m2 of facilities; the Palmones business incubator, made up of 14 warehouses and a total area of 3,150 m2; in addition to the industrial land for the implementation of companies in the tax precincts that will be located in El Fresno, Los Barrios; Cortijo Real, in Algeciras; and The Line.
Also in La Línea, progress has been made in the procedures for the construction of a Business Center on a plot located in Plaza Nueva, where a building of unique character is planned in an area of special projection for the city.
In addition, the Free Trade Zone has recently completed Phase I of comprehensive improvement of the Palmones Industrial Estate, which has been recently inaugurated by the Minister of Employment, Fátima Báñez, and has gained in quality, fluidity and comfort for users and plans to carry out a second phase in the short term.
With the opening of the new headquarters, everything will be centralized in the Nexus Building, where the Zona Franca staff will attend to the needs of users and clients, gaining in comfort, efficiency and operability.
