The Horizonte Building makes 15 offices, 2 rooms – one of which is coworking – and 7 premises available to the business community in the area.
The marketing of the spaces has been parallel to the completion of the works and five companies have already been awarded installations in the new facility, for which there are also four other applications
The action, with a total investment of 2.3 million euros, has been co-financed by funds requested within the Framework of the FEDER Operational Program of Andalusia 2007-2013
The Minister of Employment and Social Security, Fátima Báñez, and the mayor of Vejer, José Ortiz, inaugurated yesterday afternoon the Horizonte Business Center that the Zona Franca has developed on Buenavista Avenue in the municipality. Báñez and Ortiz were accompanied by the Government delegate in Andalusia, Antonio Sanz; the Special delegate of the State in the Cádiz Free Zone, Jorge Ramos; the deputy delegate of the Government, Javier de Torre; among other authorities, managers and technicians of the Free Trade Zone and the City Council and the construction company, ECISA.
The culmination of the works, which are the result of the institutional collaboration between Zona Franca and the Vejer City Council, has formed a modern facility of just over 2,000 m2, with pure and white volumes, in accordance with its location and the architecture of the environment, designed and designed for young businessmen and entrepreneurs in the area to develop their activity, projecting itself into a modern and professional work environment, ideal for the reactivation and consolidating the business fabric of the Region.
The minister, who traveled to Cádiz accompanied by the Secretary of State for Employment, Juan Pablo Riesgo, toured the facilities and received explanations about this important equipment, which she described as a reflection of the commitment of the Government of Spain and the Free Trade Zone to the development of infrastructure and productive spaces in the province of Cádiz, which boost economic activity and create the best conditions for entrepreneurs to start or consolidate their activity and promote job creation.
Fátima Báñez praised the work of Zona Franca in the province and also congratulated Vejer for now having a magnificent business center of which the “most important thing is the soul of the building”, in reference to the business and entrepreneurial activity that it will cover.
Jorge Ramos, for his part, stressed the importance of institutional collaboration to carry out projects in favor of economic growth, thanking the minister for her presence and the elderly mayor for his cooperation in carrying out this business center in the heart of La Janda.
Along these lines, the Free Trade Zone delegate stressed that the Horizonte Business Center reflects the Consortium's commitment to entrepreneurs, who are the ones who have to carry out business projects that generate economic activity. To strengthen this business network, Zona Franca has 14 business centers with more than 70,000 m2 throughout the province, of which in the last four years buildings have been built and commissioned in Cádiz, Jerez, Algeciras, Chiclana, Arcos and the one that is inaugurated in Vejer, which make up an offer of more than 30,000 m2, with a very good response from the business community, which translates into a high level of occupancy, which exceeds 90% of the total offer.
Ramos concluded by recalling Zona Franca's investment in business centers in the last four years, "which exceeds 37 million euros and has managed to create the largest network of business centers in Andalusia, in which hundreds of companies and entrepreneurs already have their jobs installed."
In fact, in the case of the Horizonte building, during the completion of the works, Zona Franca has worked in recent months on the marketing of the new facilities, which have had a great response among the business community in the area, there are already five companies that have been awarded a space to locate. In addition, at least five others have already submitted their applications to access the facilities through the Public Offer opened by the Consortium.
The Horizonte Business Center, in figures
The Horizonte building sits on a municipal plot of 3,550 m2 and has a constructed area of 2,087.57 m2. It is equipped with 15 offices on the first floor measuring 17.63 m.2 which can be contracted for €145/month once the additional bonuses are applied, since interested parties can access bonuses on rental income of 20% the first year depending on the characteristics and needs of the company. All rates for offices include complete furniture, cleaning, IBI and common area expenses.
Likewise, on the same floor there are three 40 m rooms.2 y 59,13 m2, one of them designed to provide the coworking service, in which young entrepreneurs will be able to start their activity in an equipped office for €50/month, in which they will share space with other professionals, being able to create synergies that provide added value to their companies. .
In addition, the building has 6 premises on the ground floor measuring 51 m.2 which can be rented for €250/month and a 313 m semi-basement premises2, which can be rented for €1,002/month with the first year's bonus. It is completed with a 660 m premises2 for municipal services, foreseeably for the Hospitality School.
It is worth remembering that the works, which began at the end of 2014, have involved a total investment of 2.3 million euros, co-financed by Funds requested within the Framework of the FEDER Operational Program of Andalusia 2007-2013.
