Four companies will soon occupy as many offices in the new Nexus Building that the Cádiz Free Trade Zone has built in Algeciras and whose Public Offer was opened in December. The Consortium has awarded these spaces and has received a good number of applications from companies that are interested in accessing these facilities of the new center, which is already in operation.
These four companies, belonging to various sectors, will occupy offices ranging between 27 and 33.35 m2. The largest of them will house an administrative office for the marine activity of a world-leading company in testing, inspection and certification (ICT), while the smaller one will house a consultancy specialized in forestry issues.
Another company, to which Zona Franca has awarded a 30 m2 office, is dedicated to the prevention service and the fourth, which will have 30.30 m2 of office, carries out promotional marketing work.
The Public Offer for the 36 offices and the 2 premises that are marketed in the Nexus Business Center in Algeciras was launched last December and the selection criteria include topics such as the innovative nature of the projects and the creation of direct employment, in addition to the volume of investment and the start date of the activity.
Although the opening of this Public Offer has been the starting signal for the commercialization of the spaces available in this modern building, the Commercial department of the Tax Institution had previously attended to interested companies and has responded to more than 50 companies that requested information about the facilities. In fact, this department has noted that the number of interested parties has increased in recent weeks.
It should be remembered that the Nexus Business Center, located on a 4,000 m2 plot on Avenida Juan Pérez Arriete, next to the Algeciras Chamber of Commerce, is a modern business building with three floors and a basement, with a total area of 8,445.59 m2, which includes a parking lot with capacity for 87 vehicles in the basement. This important offer of spaces for entrepreneurs and liberal professionals has facilities that are sold fully furnished, cleaning and the use of a parking space are included on a subscription basis and which can be opted for from 209 euros per month.
The Nexus Business Center, completed last year, has involved an investment of 6.5 million euros, co-financed by funds requested within the Framework of the FEDER Operational Program of Andalusia 2007-2013.
