The Business Centers of the Free Zone give a good example of the activity that the Cádiz Institution registers in its facilities throughout the province, where it has in place or is developing the largest network of Business Centers in Andalusia, with a total of 15 buildings with more than 70,000 m2 of offices and offices available for the Cádiz business community.
The Interior Precinct of the Free Zone in Cádiz continues to be the nerve center of the Consortium today and there are four buildings with very different characteristics and years of construction, although all with the services and quality of the Free Zone facilities.
The four properties in the Campus - Europa, Atlas, Melkart and Heracles - cover 20,431 m2 of surface in which a total of 133 companies are housed and in which 475 people carry out their work, all of them belonging to diverse sectors and with a high percentage of liberal professionals.
Specifically, the Heracles building began its activity in 2002. It has 1,903 m2 of surface distributed on the ground, first and second floors and is currently more than 80% occupied, with 9 companies and 75 jobs.
One of its hallmarks is having on the ground floor a large assembly hall with capacity for 147 people and a large hall with an exhibition hall that hosts a multitude of events in the city.
Next to the Heracles building is the Melkart, with a total area of 2,657 m2, of which 1,892 m are currently occupied2 by 24 companies that have 134 people employed. This characteristic property is one of the most representative of the Free Zone with an interior patio surrounded by two floors and an attic in which companies from sectors such as Health, Communication or Construction coexist.
On the main avenue of the Interior Campus, Avda. Consejo de Europa, sits the Atlas building, the oldest of the four, with a total area of 5,960 m2 which currently hosts 13 companies occupying a total of 3,755 m2 and that provide direct employment to 117 people. Due to the passing of the years, its facilities are in the process of rehabilitation to provide its users with greater comfort and spaciousness in their offices.
This tour of the four buildings culminates in the Europa building, the most modern, inaugurated in 2013, with a surface area of 6,449 m2 for offices and 3,462.92 m2 for ships. From the first moment, the building was very well received by the Cádiz business community, with high occupancy rates from the first months. Currently, it has 100% occupancy: It houses 87 companies that have 149 direct jobs.
It is worth remembering that this facility has been co-financed by funds requested in the FEDER Operational Framework of Andalusia 2007-2013 and on its third and fourth floors – of the five that make up it – is the Free Trade Zone Business Center with a 99% occupancy and with great acceptance among the city's young entrepreneurs of the coworking service.
