The State delegate in the Free Zone, Jorge Ramos, yesterday visited the rehabilitation work of the Atlas Building, located in the Interior Campus of Cádiz, whose execution is in charge of the company Nacimiento, Infraestructuras y Medioambiente S.L. for an amount of 485,293.11 euros (VAT not included), co-financed by funds requested within the Framework of the FEDER Operational Program of Andalusia 2007-2013.
These works, which are already 80% complete and scheduled to be completed in the first week of February, will adapt the Atlas Building to the characteristics and comfort of other nearby buildings executed by the Consortium, such as the Heracles or the Europa.
The rehabilitation project for this building, which dates back to the 90s, includes replacing the façade cladding, which has deteriorated over time, in addition to the staircase enclosure structure, which has lost its insulating properties over the years.
The air conditioning system, the automatic control system of the facilities, the current lighting fixtures will also be replaced with LED lighting fixtures, the installation of photovoltaic panels and the improvements that result in energy efficiency, among other improvements.
