Free Zone of Cádiz, candidate for the Economic News awards in the category of best public initiative

The great project of expansion and expansion of the Cádiz Consortium to several municipalities in the province is key to qualify for the award

The Free Zone of Cádiz is a candidate, in the category of Best Public Initiative, for the awards that the magazine Actualidad Económica will award this month to the most outstanding business initiatives of the last year in the province of Cádiz. The expansion of the Port of Algeciras, the Constitution Bridge of 1812 and the Integrated Territorial Initiative (ITI) compete in the same award category.

The Cádiz Institution is competing for the award for the large expansion and expansion project that it is carrying out to other municipalities in the province and that will make it possible for the Fiscal Precinct to go from the 300,000 m2 that it has in the capital to 1,300,000 m2, expanding in addition to its parent city to other municipalities such as Los Barrios, Algeciras, La Línea or Arcos, creating productive spaces that encourage the establishment of companies and consequently the creation of employment. The readers of the leading magazine in economic information will be the ones who decide through their votes who deserves this award. Votes will be cast using a coupon that is published in the magazine and must be completed and sent to the magazine.

At the same time, the Cádiz company Fricking Design, a leading franchise in Europe in the sale of t-shirts and recently installed on the land that Zona Franca bought in the summer from Altadis and which will form part of the Fiscal Precinct once the concession by Customs becomes effective, will also opt for one of the prizes proposed by Zona Franca and it will be the readers who decide.

The trajectory and work carried out by this young company that was created two years ago has made it possible for it to now have 150 stores in eight countries in Europe and to have four rotating presses with a capacity of 7,000 t-shirts daily.

The magazine has organized eight awards in the categories of Best Entrepreneur, Best Business Career, Best Business Initiative, Best Public Initiative, Innovation Award, Revelation Award, International Strategy Award and Job Creation Award. The first two prizes are decided by a jury of authorities, while the rest of the categories will be decided by the vote of readers who will have the opportunity to participate using the voting coupon published in the magazine.

Actualidad Económica also plans to prepare a special analysis on the world of business and the economy in Cádiz for its February issue.

The Cádiz Free Trade Zone Consortium has already opted on previous occasions for different recognitions for its management and work in recent years. In this way, last year it was awarded the Andalusia Excellent Award in the Institutional Management category organized annually by the company. El Suplemento S.L.
