Of the 10 awarded projects, the innovative nature and the creation of direct employment have prevailed, which in total would reach 44 jobs throughout the incubator.
The incubator, carried out in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce and the INCYDE Foundation, contemplates the installation of the winning bids for a maximum of three years, during which time they will consolidate their activities.
The total investment in this equipment amounts to 1.4 million euros, co-financed by funds requested in the Framework of the FEDER Operational Program of Andalusia 2007-2013.
Expectations have been met and the Free Zone business incubator in Ubrique will have 100% occupancy. The Consortium has completed the OP 7/15 Public Offer process with the evaluation of the proposals presented and the awarding of the ten nest buildings that make up the nursery, located in the municipality's La Piel industrial estate and launched in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce of Cádiz and the INCYDE Foundation.
The ten warehouses, for which a total of 14 offers were submitted to the public tender opened on November 23, will host a total of ten projects over the next three years, of which the innovative nature and the creation of direct jobs, in addition to the volume of investment and the start date of the activity, have been evaluated, following the criteria included in the bases of the Public Offer.
Thus, 70% of the successful bidders belong to the leather and leather goods sector. Seven of the ten warehouses will host activities such as leather goods manufacturing, leather cutting and linings, engraving, cutting and making of leather goods, and wholesale of finished leather, among others.
Of the remaining three ships, one will be occupied by a furniture and decoration business; another will house functional training activities and services; And in the last one, a sporting event company will be installed.
With respect to the criterion of direct job creation, it should be noted that among all the successful offers, the creation of 44 jobs is contemplated, with an average that exceeds four jobs in each of the warehouses.
The good reception among the business community in the area for these quality facilities with advantageous conditions reaffirms the commitment of Zona Franca, Cámara and Fundación Incyde to carry out this new equipment, - which has contemplated a total investment of 1.4 million euros, co-financed by funds requested within the Framework of the FEDER Operational Program of Andalusia 2007-2013 -.
It should be remembered that, according to the rates to access these warehouses, approved by the Executive Committee on October 26 of this year, the 133 m2 warehouses (eight of the ten) have a price from 233 euros per month; while the two 147 m2 warehouses have a rental price from 257 euros per month. All of them with mezzanines and equipped with the best qualities, highlighting that all of them are sold air-conditioned.
