Romero and Ramos present the project of a new company that will be installed in the Tax Precinct of El Fresno (Los Barrios)

The Special Delegate of the State in the Cádiz Free Trade Zone Consortium, Jorge Ramos, and the mayor of Los Barrios, Jorge Romero, accompanied by the Councilor for Urban Planning, Miguel Alconchel, presented yesterday at the Barreño City Hall the project for the construction of an industrial building on the PLT2 plot of the future tax precinct of El Fresno in the municipality. The project has been submitted to the City Council registry with the request for the corresponding construction license, which aims to speed up the deadlines and ensure that the work can be put out to tender as soon as possible.

Specifically, the project foresees the installation on an area of ​​6,500 m2 of a prefabricated concrete industrial building of 4,173.70 m2 built with a floor area of ​​3,768.14 m2. It is elevated 1.20 meters to form loading docks. The total construction budget is 5,059,363.81 euros

Jorge Ramos explained the details of the work, which awaits the modification of the General Plan to begin, and recalled the constant work in the line of collaboration and institutional loyalty of the Free Trade Zone with all administrations and to be able to move our province forward.

The Free Trade Zone delegate, who pointed out that actions like this reactivate the economic and productive fabric not only of Los Barrios but of the entire area, explained that this company handles and packages seafood products for subsequent distribution for consumption, with all the refrigeration process that this entails.

Romero thanked the Free Zone delegate for the support and commitment in promoting projects and bringing investments to our municipality. The mayor has pointed out that with investments like this and with the presence of the Free Trade Zone, "Los Barrios becomes an important logistics area for distribution and production that will increase the economic activity of the area."

The Zona Franca continues to take steps to make the establishment of companies on this land a reality in the shortest possible time and there are already six companies that are interested in establishing themselves on this land, which already has an area of ​​140,000 m2 since the Zona Franca acquired another 37,000 m2 a month ago, in addition to those it bought last year from the Public Agency Ports of Andalusia.

In fact, in November Zona Franca also presented to the Los Barrios City Council the basic and execution project for the construction of a Logistics Center on the PLT1 plot of the El Fresno tax precinct. Specifically, the project contemplates the installation on a 44,439 m2 plot of a set of three industrial warehouses consisting of a refrigeration warehouse; dry ship; and workshop warehouse, as well as a building for a Border Inspection post. This complex will have an area of ​​13,503.45 m2 and will be complemented by a beach for truck parking and 100 loading docks.

The expansion of the Fiscal Precinct of the Cádiz Free Zone in Los Barrios is one of the most advanced milestones in the important expansion and expansion project of the Cádiz Institution.
