The State delegate in the Cádiz Free Trade Zone, Jorge Ramos, and the mayor of La Línea, Juan Franco, met today at the Linense Town Hall, a meeting during which the head of the Consortium presented the preliminary study for the Business Center project in La Línea as well as the proposal for the organization of the plot carried out by the architects in charge of said study. The mayor was accompanied by the deputy mayor of the municipal area of Impulse and Urban Development, Ignacio Macías, and by the delegate of the same area, Juan Carlos Valenzuela.

Jorge Ramos has explained that this will be an important facility, which will form a large administrative and commercial building of approximately 8,000 m2 on a plot of 4,297 m2, composed of 4,500 m2 of economic-financial spaces, 2,800 m2 of attached commercial premises and 2,700 m2 of parking.

The Free Trade Zone delegate added that this Business Center is intended to be a unique building and to represent a milestone for the city, whose work will be underway in the summer of 2016, according to all forecasts. With the agility that is being given to all the necessary procedures and, taking into account that the detailed study on volumes will be delivered to the City Council in the coming days, the public competition for drafting the project will be put out to tender at the beginning of the year.

Zona Franca has also delivered the study, which analyzes the impact and relationship of the new Business Center with fort 165 of the Campo de Gibraltar Bunker Catalog, cataloged as an Asset of Cultural Interest (BIC), to the Department of Culture of the Junta de Andalucía. In addition, the geotechnical study of the plot has already been completed.

The mayor of the municipality, for his part, thanked the presence of the Free Trade Zone in La Línea and was convinced that this Business Center, located between Fernando Ramos Argüelles, Focona, Avenida de Europa and Plaza de España streets, will be a powerful engine that will give impetus to the entire economy of the town.

The construction project of the Business Center is the result of the agreement signed at the end of August between the State delegate and the first mayor of Linea.

The La Línea Business Center will be an important facility for the municipality, with the same quality characteristics and services as those that the Free Zone has spread throughout the province, promoting entrepreneurial activity and offering quality facilities to the business community in the area.

The building will dedicate 40% of its surface to entrepreneurs under very advantageous conditions, facilities that have received immediate response from the business community in other municipalities such as Cádiz, Algeciras, Arcos or Vejer, where the Free Trade Zone has facilities of this type. The other 60% of the business center will be dedicated to established companies and liberal professionals.
