The Free Trade Zone delegate meets with the territorial delegate of Innovation of the Junta de Andalucía

Jorge Ramos and Gema Pérez held a meeting in which they agreed on permanent lines of dialogue

The delegate of the Free Zone informed the representative of the Andalusian Government about the projects carried out by the Consortium, especially the development of the expansion and expansion of the tax area to the entire province.

The State delegate in the Cádiz Free Zone, Jorge Ramos, and the territorial delegate of Economy, Innovation, Science and Employment of the Junta de Andalucía, Gema Pérez, accompanied by the manager of the IDEA Agency, Rosa Mellado, met yesterday at the Consortium's Headquarters in a meeting in which the heads of both organizations agreed to maintain lines of permanent dialogue to achieve the common objective of promoting economic activity and employment.

Ramos took advantage of the meeting to inform the head of the Andalusian Government about the projects carried out by the Free Trade Zone throughout the province, especially highlighting the expansion and expansion plan by which it will go from occupying 330,000 m2 to 1,300,000 m2 in new tax precincts in the Bay of Cádiz – already effective with the expansion of Altadis –; Algeciras Bay – the El Fresno tax precinct, in Los Barrios, is also already underway; Jerez de la Frontera and Sierra-Arcos.

The delegate of the Cádiz Consortium also proposed to the territorial delegate of Innovation the development of an agreement with the IDEA Agency to search for the necessary financing mechanisms, through the funds of the Feder Operational Framework 2014-2020, for various projects that are underway, especially focusing on the incorporation of the former Altadis lands into the Cadiz tax precinct and the seven companies that plan to set up shop in El Fresno, in Los Barrios.
