The State delegate in the Free Trade Zone, Jorge Ramos, visited on Thursday the facilities of the young Cádiz company Blankers, dedicated to the manufacture of polyurethane cores for surfboards, which is installed in one of the warehouses of the new Europa Building of the Interior Campus.
Jorge Ramos, who toured the 201 m2 facilities accompanied by the young entrepreneurs who created this business initiative and Zona Franca technicians and managers, was able to verify the originality of the idea and the effort made by these young people from Cadiz to develop polyurethane foam, which is the raw material for the subsequent manufacturing of surfboards.
With this visit, the Zona Franca delegate reaffirmed his support for innovative ideas and his permanent commitment to young entrepreneurs and even more so those who carry out their work in the Zona Franca facilities, while showing his interest in the origin, activity, their future projects and the day-to-day life of the companies installed in the tax area.
Blankers, which is the true reflection of entrepreneurship, is the first Spanish factory of this type of material and has already managed to export to countries such as Portugal, France, Germany and Italy since the company was created a year ago, in addition to having recently won the 'atrÉBT!' award, the call for ideas and business projects from the University.
