The Government delegate in Andalusia, Antonio Sanz, accompanied by the Special State delegate in the Cádiz Free Zone, Jorge Ramos, yesterday inaugurated the “Iro” Business Center that the Cádiz Consortium has developed in the “Higinio” Commercial Complex, in Urbisur, in Chiclana de la Frontera, in the presence of the mayor of the city, José María Román, and other authorities and representatives of the business sector.

The event began with the unveiling of the commemorative plaque and, after the interventions, a tour of the facilities was carried out, where the quality of the work carried out could be confirmed.

The Government delegate in Andalusia thanked Zona Franca for the great work it is doing throughout the province creating quality business infrastructures that promote and boost economic activity, which results in job creation.

Antonio Sanz also congratulated the people of Chiclana who, as of today, benefit from much-needed equipment in the municipality and give entrepreneurs the possibility of enjoying the advantages provided by the Free Trade Zone.

Jorge Ramos, for his part, stressed that this Business Center comes to light thanks to institutional collaboration, essential to achieve synergies that develop facilities "aimed at enhancing the business and social fabric and, consequently, contributing to the economic activity and job creation of the municipalities."

The work, which was carried out by the company Gyocivil for an award amount of €551,448.78 (VAT not included) co-financed by funds requested in the FEDER Operational Framework for Andalusia 2007-2013, consisted of the adaptation of a 1,800 m business center2 that the Free Zone acquired at the end of last year and has resulted in a modern business center, thought out and designed, seeking maximum versatility, which allows it to meet the needs of young businessmen and entrepreneurs in the municipality who will be able to start their activities with all the advantages, in a professional work environment and at very competitive prices, in addition to also accommodating already established companies that are looking for quality facilities.

In fact, the response from business owners has been important and, since the Public Offer for these spaces was opened in the summer, 78% of the offices, which have a surface area of between 17 and 45 m, have already been covered.2 and they have rental prices that range between 103 and 273 euros per month. These prices include furniture and cleaning, as well as the use of the meeting room, in line with the services and benefits offered by the Free Trade Zone in its business centers throughout the province. In addition, the building has 875 m2 of commercial premises on the ground floor that are planned to be marketed depending on the space needs of the entrepreneurs. All facilities have been built with an exterior façade and, therefore, full visibility from the main road access to the city.

This Business Center has been carried out with the common objective that prevails in other municipalities in which the Zona Franca has similar actions, such as Cádiz, El Puerto de Santa María, Algeciras, Jerez, Arcos and Vejer, which is none other than to enhance the business and social fabric and, consequently, contribute to economic activity and job creation.
