The Special Delegate of the State in the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz, Jorge Ramos, made a technical visit this morning to the works of the business incubator that the Consortium is building in the Marismas de Palmones Business and Technology Park, in Los Barrios, a project that is the result of a collaboration agreement signed with the Campo de Gibraltar Chamber of Commerce and the Incyde Foundation and that will be concluded before the end of the year.
Accompanied by part of his management team and the company awarded the works, San José Constructora, Ramos supervised the progress of the construction work of the 14 nest ships that will house entrepreneurs and which began last July. Once the land conditioning and foundation work has been carried out, the metal structure is currently being erected with the assembly of the first pillars, as well as the placement of the party walls.
This project was born thanks to the collaboration between institutions, one of the premises of Zona Franca, and is intended to strengthen the entrepreneurial fabric of the Region, with what this entails in promoting the creation of new companies and new jobs.
The 14 warehouses are built on a 3,795 m2 plot located in front of the Quirón Hospital of the Business Park owned by Zona Franca. The work was put out to tender in April and was awarded to the company San José Constructora for an amount of 1,511,061.04 euros (VAT not included), with a total investment of 2.8 million euros. Of this amount, 2 million euros will be for the construction of the nursery, eighty percent co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the INCYDE Foundation and the remaining twenty percent, by the Cádiz Free Trade Zone Consortium.
Of the 14 warehouses, 13 have an area of 226 m2, 193 of them on the ground floor and 33 m2 on a mezzanine floor with a finished office and toilet; In addition, the nursery has another smaller warehouse with 212 m2 - 186 on the ground floor and 26 m2 for an office.
Zona Franca intends to put the facilities on the market as soon as possible, the rates and conditions of which have already been authorized by the Zona Franca Executive Committee. It should be noted that the warehouses have a price well below what the area market currently has and interested parties can opt for these facilities from 371 euros per month to 395 euros per month, rates to which a 20% discount could be applied the first year depending on the characteristics of the company.
