Jorge Ramos and Juan Franco sign the agreement that includes the development of different actions in the municipality, where it is planned to expand the Fiscal Precinct
The delegate of the Free Zone, who highlighted the importance of collaboration with the City Council, considers the presence of the Consortium in La Línea essential.
The delegate of the Free Zone of Cádiz, Jorge Ramos, and the mayor of La Línea, Juan Franco, accompanied by the deputy mayor of the municipal area of Impulse and Urban Development, Ignacio Macías, and by the delegate of the same area, Juan Carlos Valenzuela, have signed this morning at the La Línea City Hall the collaboration agreement that will give way to the construction of a Business Center, at the same time as beginning the presence of the Free Zone in this municipality with the objective placed in the promotion of economic and business activity.
Jorge Ramos and Juan Franco highlighted the importance of this agreement and were satisfied because from now on Zona Franca begins its presence in La Línea, which becomes part of the network of business centers that Zona Franca has throughout the province.
The Zona Franca delegate was satisfied with the agreement, which begins a long-awaited and necessary stage of work in La Línea, where Zona Franca will develop quality equipment with all the characteristics and services that Zona Franca offers in its 14 business centers in operation or about to be completed. Ramos thanked the mayor and the entire government team for their collaboration and was “delighted to be in La Línea, because Zona Franca has always wanted to be in this municipality.”
Furthermore, Jorge Ramos was also pleased because from now on "we will get moving to be able to bring the Tax Precinct with its tax advantages to La Línea", where we will work on finding an area of about 100/120,000 m2 for the expansion of the Free Trade Zone and highlighted that the Consortium had an outstanding debt in the town."
The Free Zone delegate explained that at the beginning of September technicians from the Free Zone and the City Council will meet to start working on the Business Center project, which will be an important facility for entrepreneurs and established businessmen and will have about 6,000 m2 of surface.
The mayor, for his part, thanked Zona Franca for its commitment to the town and pointed out that now begins a time of work, enthusiasm and collaboration between both administrations. Juan Franco added that the Business Center that will be built in La Línea will boost entrepreneurial activity and offer quality facilities to the business community in this area, since Zona Franca already has proven experience in this type of buildings.
The agreement also includes the commitment of both administrations to search for suitable land on which the Tax Precinct will be implemented, within the large extension and expansion project that the Cádiz Consortium has underway and which has already started with land in Los Barrios, Cádiz capital and Algeciras.
Today's signing also contemplates promoting and strengthening any other action that may be of interest to the population as a whole, by promoting the business, industrial and commercial fabric, especially the implementation of the Tax Precinct that will mean having in the municipality a focus of attraction for companies that will be able to enjoy the customs and tax advantages of the Free Zone.
