The delegate of the Free Trade Zone meets with the mayor of Alcalá de los Gazules

Jorge Ramos explained to Javier Pizarro the details of the improvement of the La Palmosa industrial estate during a visit to that industrial enclave

The Free Zone work in the municipality, co-financed by Funds requested in the Feder Operational Framework 2007-2013 and which began at the end of May, is already completed

The delegate of the Cádiz Free Trade Zone, Jorge Ramos, met this morning with the mayor of Alcalá de los Gazules, Javier Pizarro, to whom he explained the details of the urban improvement and accessibility work carried out by the Consortium in the La Palmosa Industrial Estate.

Ramos and Pizarro, accompanied by technicians from the Zona Franca and City Hall and the construction company, visited the industrial estate and were able to verify the excellent condition of the estate after the completion of the work, which began at the end of May.

Those responsible for both administrations held their first institutional meeting since the new Municipal Corporation was established and highlighted the importance of collaboration for the promotion of economic activity, highlighting the case of the La Palmosa Industrial Estate, which will now have higher quality and more comfortable facilities for users.

The Cádiz Free Trade Zone awarded these works, co-financed by Funds requested in the Feder Operational Framework 2007-2013, to the company Construcciones Francisco Manzano SL for an amount of 187,395 euros (VAT not included) and an execution period of two and a half months.

The project has contemplated actions aimed at strengthening the urban structure, improving the service infrastructure and enhancing the global image, offering more attractive spaces, greater business quality and comfort for users.

The works have improved paving, accessibility - with adaptability of pedestrian crossing areas, accessible routes, etc. - as well as a reorganization of the front space that includes the organization of parking spaces; creation of rest areas; creation of children's spaces; planning of green areas and improvement of traffic signage.

With this project, the Free Zone continues its line of work and is already carrying out similar actions in other industrial estates such as Palmones, in Los Barrios, whose works began this week, or El Portal, in Jerez de la Frontera, a project that is also very advanced.
