The Free Trade Zone of Cádiz has completed the cleaning and conservation works of the square located above the Loreto underground parking lot, which began at the end of last May at the request of the City Council due to the various deficiencies that the square above the underground had caused by water leaks in the parking lot and which have been getting worse over the years and inclement weather. climatological.

For this purpose, the enclosing walls of the access towers to the parking lot and the flower beds have been cut, including the replacement of the damaged asphalt fabric areas and the reconstruction by placing strips that have subsequently been plastered and painted. The cleaning and replacement of the windowsills has also been carried out.
On the other hand, action has been taken on all the flower beds that contain the different plantations by installing michinales that serve as a spillway for the accumulation of water within them.
Likewise, during the execution of these previous works, neighborhood associations have been demanding the creation of a ramp for the disabled at the access to the square in front of the Astarté building, where pedestrian circulation is abundant, which has been carried out by also finishing it off with a stainless steel railing. The cleaning of the street furniture has also been required and carried out, proceeding to the cleaning and varnishing of the benches and the repair of the loose steps.
It should be remembered that these works, which are co-financed by funds requested within the Framework of the FEDER Operational Program of Andalusia 2007-2013, were awarded to the company Servicios y Obras del Sur MMMVII SL for an amount of 37,460 (VAT not included).
