Jorge Ramos and Antonio González Carretero agree to reactivate the Los Isletes Industrial Park that the Consortium promoted in the municipality almost a decade ago
Zona Franca has proposed to the first mayor a package of measures to boost the marketing of the 34 warehouses, of which 8 are currently occupied
The Special Delegate of the State in the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz, Jorge Ramos, received yesterday morning at the Consortium's Headquarters the mayor of San José del Valle, Antonio González Carretero, in an institutional visit that also served to analyze the situation of the Los Isletes Industrial Estate, which the Consortium promoted in the municipality almost a decade ago.
At this meeting, Jorge Ramos and Antonio González agreed to reactivate the commercialization of the industrial estate, made up of 34 warehouses of which only 8 are occupied, through a package of measures proposed by Zona Franca whose central point would be a reduction in the price of real estate.
In this way, the Consortium would carry out an appraisal of the warehouses to propose to the Executive Committee of the Free Zone, the governing body that approved the prices, a reduction in rates and including in the contract conditions the modality of rent with an option to purchase in 5 years. These new bases could be approved by the Executive Committee next September.
The delegate of the Free Trade Zone and the mayor of San José del Valle also agreed to study a new action in the town, always in accordance with the needs of the business community in the area and the response obtained from the reactivation measures of the Los Isletes Industrial Estate.
This new project would be located on a 4,500 m2 plot adjacent to the current industrial estate.
Jorge Ramos has always been in favor of loyalty between institutions and the Consortium has extensive experience in collaboration between administrations throughout the province aimed at promoting economic development and the creation of wealth and employment, which is why it is holding meetings with all the municipalities of the province in which it carries out actions.
