Jorge Ramos participated in the closing of the Business Creation and Consolidation course of the Campo de Gibraltar Chamber of Commerce

30 new jobs and an investment of more than 300,000 euros, balance of the program that ended with the delivery of diplomas to the participants

The generation of up to 30 new jobs and an initial investment of more than 300,000 euros were two of the data that stood out yesterday at the closing of the Business Creation and Consolidation program of the Campo de Gibraltar Chamber of Commerce and from which a total of 21 business projects have benefited. Together with the president of the Chamber, Carlos Fenoy, the presentation of diplomas to the participants was attended by representatives of the entities promoting this project, among them, Jorge Ramos, Special delegate of the Cádiz Free Trade Zone Consortium - entity that co-finances the program together with the European Social Fund -; Pilar Jordán, responsible for the Management Control area of ​​the Andalusian Council of Chambers of Commerce and Antonio Sancho, director of the INCYDE Foundation program (Camera Institute for the Creation and Development of the Company) taught by the chamber entity.

“These are excellent results that reaffirm our policy of supporting companies and entrepreneurs for their contribution to the regional economy,” said Fenoy in relation to the balance of the program. After congratulating the participants and thanking Zona Franca for its collaboration, the president of the Chamber explained that a total of 21 projects, almost 90 percent in the services sector, have benefited from this complete training and advice program, 16 of them corresponding to entrepreneurs and 5 to improvement plans for active companies.

"All these projects already involve a mass of 19 workers and, with the help of the program, it is expected that up to 30 new positions will be generated, once they are launched. Projects that will also promote an initial investment of more than 300,000 euros and an expected turnover during the first year of 2,200,000 euros," Fenoy explained. Along with these results, the president announced that more than half of the entrepreneurial projects are expected to be launched in the short term.

The Free Trade Zone delegate, Jorge Ramos, also expressed his satisfaction with the results achieved in relation to employment and investment. “From Zona Franca we have been clear that the first objective is to set up a factory of entrepreneurs that helps us overcome the deficit in the existing productive fabric in the province and thus be able to create wealth and employment,” said Ramos. Likewise, and along with the co-financing of this program for entrepreneurs and companies, the Free Trade Zone delegate recalled other projects of interest that the Consortium is undertaking in the region such as the development of new tax precincts in Algeciras and El Fresno (Los Barrios), the conditioning and improvement of industrial estates or the recent inauguration of the business center, Nexus, located next to the Chamber of Commerce in the town. Algeciras, among other initiatives aimed at promoting economic activity in the region.

For his part, Antonio Sancho, the director of the program, explained the role that the INCYDE Foundation, through European funds, in this case, the European Social Fund, plays in promoting new entrepreneurial vocations and supporting business consolidation, while encouraging participants to continue working on their business and improvement projects.

Program Features

This Business Creation and Consolidation program has consisted of two phases. A first workshop (Digital environments for business, personal branding and employability 2.0) lasted 26 hours, in which 31 attendees participated, and a second phase (Business Creation and Consolidation) of more than 200 hours, aimed at developing the business plan.

This last phase began with the participation of 22 businessmen and entrepreneurs and has resulted in the development of 21 business plans tutored by experts in each of the subjects taught and which affects all areas of company management. The methodology has been made up of face-to-face classes, online training and individualized tutorials adapted to each project, taught by expert consultants in each of the subjects.
