Zona Franca is completing the renovation work on the lighting of the Interior Campus

The work for the new air conditioning of the Headquarters has also been completed.

The Free Zone of Cádiz is completing the renovation works of the public lighting of the Interior Precinct of the Free Zone, a project that is being carried out in a few weeks and which is adapting the facilities to energy efficiency criteria, which will mean a saving of more than 65% since they will improve service performance at a much lower price.

The work, with an award amount of 169,319 euros (VAT not included), consists of new lighting using the new existing technologies for energy saving, specifically LED type luminaires, with installation of arms, supports and other elements necessary for commissioning. functioning of them.

In this way, light pollution will also be reduced and the maintenance costs of the facilities will also be lower.

Almost in parallel, the Free Trade Zone has completed the renovation works of the air conditioning system of the Consortium's Headquarters building, a contract for an amount of 178,506 euros (VAT not included) also co-financed by funds requested in the Feder de Andalucía Operational Framework 2007-2013.

These works have modified the entire air conditioning system of the Headquarters in order to optimize resources and are divided into zones of use depending on the thermal needs of each area, which will also result in significant savings and greater comfort. users at any time of the year.

Last year, the Consortium began a series of works to adapt the facilities to energy efficiency criteria. In this way, it carried out the project for the implementation of the energy service for improvement, efficiency and savings in the car parks it has in the city of Cádiz, Carranza and Glorieta, in the Exterior Precinct, and Parking in Height, in the Interior Precinct. . Thus, it renewed all the lighting in the aforementioned parking lots and proceeded to install a presence detection system in the Altura parking lot, in addition to connecting the photovoltaic installation in the Altura parking lot to the grid.
