The investment, which amounts to 1 million euros, will enable the expansion and diversification of products, cost reduction and the creation of 40 new jobs
This action is co-financed by funds requested within the framework of the Feder de Andalucía 2007-2013 Operational Program
Gohisa Fish Spain, next to the already announced installation of Puerto and Bahia, almost collars the floor of the fiscal enclosure in the capital, while new industries begin to establish in the ZF spaces in other municipalities
The fiscal enclosure of the Free Zone of Cádiz will have a new company in the next few days, after the award of an offer presented by the Company of Marketing of Fisheries Products Gohisa Fish Spain S.L. for the hiring of ship 21, of 2,406 m2, which was taken to public offer earlier this month. With the arrival of this firm there is one more step for 100% of the spaces available in the Cadiz enclosure, in the process of expanding and expanding other fiscal enclosures in the province to create new productive spaces.
Gohisa Fish Spain has opted for the Free Zone of Cádiz for having important equipment for industrial cold, equipped with fridge fridge facilities and fish production lines, in addition to having a strategic location, since the ship is on a plot of 1,389 m2, at the foot of the Ribera dock.
The project, which has an investment of 1 million euros and is co-finished by funds requested within the framework of the Feder de Andalucía 2007-2013, is born of the opportunity that these new facilities will give to expand their products –introducing new species and production lines- reduce production costs and make the company more competitive, creating 40 new jobs, both direct and indirect.
The company, specifically dedicated to the commercialization of mackerel and that in the last two years has produced almost 5,000,000 kgs mostly destined to the fattening of the Mediterranean red tuna, has an extension of production this year up to 12,000,000 kgs, opening up to new European, Middle East and Africa markets.
In addition to these activities, the new facilities in the free zone will allow the freezing of fresh fish from ships linked to the Bay of Cádiz, Barbate and other Andalusian fish market jobs.
It should be noted that among the priority objectives of the new plant, the opening of a clean fish and cleaning fillet production line is clean, as the company stands out in its offer focused exclusively for elderly women and/or people with some disability index, for which machinery according to their needs would be installed.
Also, Gohisa has made these new facilities a base point/download, storage, sale and distribution of large foreign shipping companies dedicated to height fishing, which are slaughtered in the waters of the South Atlantic.
Creation of an Aquaculture Center
The entry into operation of the Cadiz plant will also enable an aquaculture center for the breeding, study and control of Holoturia, a product with a high consumption rate in Asian countries and that is located in our seabed with marketing possibilities.
