A group of 20 students and three professors from the official UCA Master in “Business Creation, new businesses and innovative projects” and the Master of Human Resources visited yesterday, Tuesday, May 5, the facilities of the Free Trade Zone in Cádiz, within the Consortium's open-door program to bring closer and make citizens aware of its work, as well as that of the companies installed in its Interior Campus.
The day began in the auditorium of the Heracles Building, where the head of Human Resources of the Consortium, Raquel Penco, and the Customs expert, Francisco Piñero, offered a talk-discussion about the present and the projects in which the Cádiz Institution is immersed, as well as an approach to logistics and foreign trade. The group, headed by José Ruiz Navarro, director of the Chair of Entrepreneurs at the University of Cádiz, and which also included a master's student from the Seville Chamber of Commerce, was very interested in the explanations and was especially participatory, raising practical questions of application.
After visiting the Heracles building, the group visited the facilities of the Documentary Services of Andalusia (SDA), where they were shown the work and details of this document archiving, digitization and custody service, which has offices in Cádiz, Seville and Algeciras.
After a tour of the outside of the Tax Precinct, students and teachers, accompanied by Consortium technicians, accessed the facilities of the Free Trade Zone Business Center located in the new Europa Building, where they received explanations about facilities and prices of services with great interest.
The group ended their visit in the Plenary Room of the Institution, where they were received by the Special Delegate of the State Jorge Ramos, who thanked them for their interest in the Consortium and invited them to delve into everything related to international trade through the day-to-day life of the Free Zone in future visits.
The guided tour program, launched by the Free Trade Zone in 2013, introduces the Institution to Cadiz society (young students, university students, liberal professionals, etc.), making them participate in the activity and projects that are being carried out.
