Zona Franca pays the urban planning fees for the comprehensive improvement works of the Palmones Industrial Estate in Los Barrios

The works were put out to tender on March 5 with a base tender budget of 4,048,425 euros (VAT not included) and are co-financed by Funds requested within the Framework of the Feder de Andalucía Operational Program 2007-2013

The deadline to submit offers is next March 31 at 2:00 p.m.

The Free Trade Zone of Cádiz has taken another step to expedite all the necessary procedures to carry out the works to correct technical deficiencies and improvements in the Palmones industrial estate, in Los Barrios, in parallel to the tender for the same on March 5. Thus, the Consortium proceeded to pay at the end of last week at the Los Barrios City Council the global amount of 241,707.13 euros, in concept of the corresponding construction license, in the amount of 83,986.33 euros, and the Construction, Installations and Works Tax (ICIO), in the amount of 157,720.80 euros.
It is worth remembering that these works, co-financed by funds requested within the Framework of the FEDER Operational Program of Andalusia 2007-2013, have a base bidding budget of 4,048,425 euros (VAT not included) and a deadline for submitting offers until next March 31, at 2:00 p.m.
Once the offers are received, the qualification process will proceed, following the requirements demanded in the specifications. The opening of technical offers is scheduled for April 9, at 12:00 p.m., information about which will be made available in a timely manner through the Contractor's Profile on the website www.zonafrancacadiz.com.
The comprehensive improvement of the Palmones Industrial Estate is part of the Free Trade Zone's line of work to reinforce its presence in the province and, in particular, in Campo de Gibraltar in order to create infrastructure that promotes economic activity and helps create jobs.
The works will consist of a comprehensive improvement of this industrial estate, with actions such as strengthening the urban structure; the improvement of service infrastructures and the enhancement of the global image, actions that will redesign, improve and, in some cases, create new spaces, in order to correct obsolete infrastructure over the years and will modernize and energize some industrial estates that attract population from the entire Campo de Gibraltar region.
