It is expected that the works will begin at the beginning of April and the execution period is four months
A total of 12 companies have submitted to the public tender of the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz to opt for the execution of the works to adapt premises to a Business Center in the “Higinio” Shopping Complex” in Urbisur, Chiclana, and whose deadline for submitting offers ended on Tuesday.
The works, financed by funds requested in the Framework of the FEDER Operational Program of Andalusia 2007-2013, have a base bidding budget of 713,111.06 euros (VAT not included) and the deadline for the presentation of offers ended last Tuesday the 10th.
The start of the works is scheduled for the first days of April, with the expected execution period being four months, so the Free Trade Zone Business Center in Chiclana could be operating in the last quarter of the year.
Once the offers have been received, in the coming days the qualification process will proceed, following the requirements demanded in the specifications. The opening of technical offers is scheduled for March 18, at 12:00 p.m., information about which will be made available in a timely manner through the Contractor Profile on the website www.zonafrancacadiz.com.
Zona Franca acquired a part of this Shopping Center for 2.08 million euros last November to convert it into a Business Center, along the lines in which the Cádiz Consortium works in other municipalities of the province. The project, which has been possible thanks to the collaboration between Zona Franca and Chiclana City Council, consists of a Business Center of 1,800 square meters built on the ground and first floors, which will house offices, offices and multipurpose classrooms on the first floor and commercial premises on the ground floor, fully finished and equipped with all the advantages so that the businessman can start his activity in the shortest possible time and at very competitive prices.
The Chiclana Business Center joins, therefore, the largest offer of business centers in the province of Cádiz and highlights the work of the Free Zone for the growth and strengthening of the business fabric of its environment, which consequently brings wealth and employment for the different municipalities of Cádiz.
