International Trade students from the Columela Institute visit the Free Trade Zone

A group of 20 students of 1º y 2º of the Higher Degree Training Cycle in International Trade of the Columela Institute of Cádiz and 3 teachers visited the facilities of the Free Trade Zone in Cádiz last Tuesday, February 10, within the open doors program of the Consortium to bring closer and make their work known to citizens, as well as that of the companies installed in its Interior Campus.
The day began in the auditorium of the Heracles Building, where the head of the Project Promotion and Development Department, Javier Gutiérrez, and the Customs expert, Francisco Piñero, offered a talk-discussion about the present and the projects in which the Cádiz Institution is immersed, as well as an approach to logistics and foreign trade.
After visiting the Melkart building, the group moved to the facilities of the CAYCO company, dedicated to logistics and one of the oldest on the premises, where the activity and the type of product existing in the facilities were explained to the students.
Subsequently, the group visited the facilities of the Documentary Services of Andalusia (SDA), where they were shown the work and details of this document archiving, digitization and custody service, which has offices in Cádiz, Seville and Algeciras.
After a tour of the exterior of the Fiscal Precinct, students and teachers ended their visit in the Plenary Hall of the Institution, where they were received by the Special Delegate of the State Jorge Ramos, and the Education Delegate of the Provincial Council, David Gil, who thanked them for their interest in the Consortium and invited them to delve into everything related to international trade through the day-to-day life of the Free Zone in future visits.
The guided tour program, launched by the Free Trade Zone in 2013, is making the Institution known to Cadiz society and, specifically, to young people, who are involved in the activity and projects that are being carried out. You can request a visit through the website www.zonafrancacadiz.com.
