Free Trade Zone awards Archaeological Control on the Vejer Business Center plot

Tomorrow, Tuesday, the Executive Committee of the Consortium awards the works of this Building, for whose construction 25 companies have applied and which is co-financed by Funds requested within the Framework of the FEDER Operational Program of Andalusia 2007-2013.

This morning, the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz has awarded the Archaeological Control Intervention during the earthworks that are going to be carried out on the plot where the Business Center is going to be built in Vejer de la Frontera, specifically on the U.E.-2 plot of the S.A.U.11 ´BUENAVISTA I. In this way, the Consortium expedites the necessary steps to make this important facility a reality in the shortest possible time, even more so taking into account that the Executive Committee of the Free Zone will authorize the awarding of the work for this building at its meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, November 25.
The Archaeological Control will be carried out by the company GEHA-ARQUEOLOGÍA S.C.P., with an estimated execution period of one month and a base bidding budget of 4,000 euros (VAT not included).
This action is necessary following what is established by the Delegation of Culture since the plot is located near archaeological sites, such as Cerro de Buenavista, and which is included in the information system of the Historical Heritage of Andalusia.

25 offers for the works of the Business Center

The awarding of the Archaeological Control coincides with the imminent awarding of the execution works of the Business Center, a public tender opened on August 20 to which a total of 25 companies have participated. The deadline for receiving offers ended on September 16 at 2:00 p.m.
    The works were put out to tender for an amount of 2,272,490.47 euros and a maximum execution period of 11 months, considering the reduction of this period to a minimum of nine months.
This important facility for the municipality and the region of La Janda is co-financed by European Funds, within the framework of the FEDER Operational Program of Andalusia 2007-2013.

The equipment, in figures
The future Vejer building, which will sit on a municipal plot of approximately 3,550 m2, will have a constructed area of ​​2,087.57 m2, which will be distributed in a building with a fragmented composition, with pure, white volumes, in accordance with its location and the architecture of its surroundings.

In one of the areas of the building, the Free Trade Zone Business Center will be located on a total of 1,557 m2 and will have 15 offices, classrooms for different uses and a coworking room, in addition to having 300 m2 for commercial premises. On the other hand, the other area of ​​the building, about 529 m2, will be for the Hospitality School and municipal services, a fact that makes it possible for the project to have a guaranteed return on its investment.
