Zona Franca acquires 1,800 m2 of the Higinio Shopping Center in Chiclana to adapt it as a Business Center

The Free Trade Zone of Cádiz is advancing in the implementation of a Business Center in Chiclana that will respond to the business fabric of the city, with the acquisition yesterday Monday of a part of the Higinio Shopping Center, in the Urbisur industrial estate, for its subsequent adaptation as a Business Center.
The action involves an investment of approximately 2.9 million euros, a project co-financed with funds granted within the framework of the FEDER Operational Program of Andalusia 2007-2013. With this step, the Free Zone streamlines the procedures and will be able to tender the works in the month of December, since the Free Zone technicians are already working on the adaptation project to obtain the corresponding municipal license.
Specifically, the project consists of a Business Center of 1,800 square meters built on the ground and first floors, which will house offices, offices and multipurpose classrooms on the first floor and commercial premises on the ground floor, fully finished and equipped with all the advantages so that the businessman can start his activity in the shortest period of time possible and at very competitive prices. Thus, it will offer new spaces for entrepreneurs and liberal professionals in a professional environment and with services that will increase the competitiveness of their businesses, including telephony, internet, switchboard, direct debits, cleaning and secretarial services, in addition to offering the innovative coworking service, a tool with great acceptance in other municipalities of the province through which the entrepreneur can start his activity in a work environment for 50 euros per month.
This important facility for the city comes to light thanks to the collaboration of Zona Franca with the Chiclana City Council, and especially thanks to the efforts of its mayor, Ernesto Marín, who has lent his full collaboration to the development of a service center for companies and the self-employed, which promotes economic activity and creates employment in the municipality.
The Business Center in Chiclana will join those that the Cádiz Consortium already has in several municipalities in the province. In Cádiz it has the Europa, Melkart, Heracles, Atlas and Glorieta building; The Las Salinas Business Center is located in Puerto de Santa María; In Algeciras there is the already existing Almanzor Business Center, in the La Menacha industrial estate, and the one that is being built next to the local Chamber of Commerce; in Jerez, Zona Franca is rehabilitating the old convent of San Agustín as a Business Center; in Vejer de la Frontera the works will be awarded this week for the Business Center; and in Arcos de la Frontera, where the works for a multipurpose building were put out to tender days ago.
The Chiclana Business Center joins, therefore, the largest offer of business centers in the province of Cádiz and highlights the work of the Free Zone for the growth and strengthening of the business fabric of its environment, which consequently brings wealth and employment for the different municipalities of Cádiz.
