The Special Delegate of the State in the Cádiz Free Trade Zone Consortium, Jorge Ramos, met yesterday in Madrid with the Minister of Commercial Affairs and Investment of the Mexican Government, Ximena Caraza-Campos, in order to present the advantages and strengths that the Tax Precinct has both in Cádiz and in the province, highlighting its strategic location as an important focus to take into account for the installation of companies.
The meeting also served to bring together positions and study possible lines of collaboration, within a common strategy to value the logistical resources of the province of Cádiz.
In fact, Ramos and Caraza-Campos agreed to propose a common line of work between the Free Zone of Cádiz and the free zones of countries that make up what is known as the Pacific Alliance. –composed of Mexico, Chile, Colombia and Peru - to channel trade flows in both directions.
Ximena Caraza-Campos is responsible for the Commercial-Proméxico Department of the Mexican Embassy, an entity that promotes the attraction of foreign direct investment and the exports of products and services, as well as the internationalization of Mexican companies to contribute to the economic and social development of the country, and to strengthen the image of Mexico as a strategic partner for doing business.
The delegate of the Free Zone attended the meeting accompanied by Bernardino Abad, president of Gades-Port, the Association that brings together port companies and is in charge of promoting the Port of the Bay of Cádiz and disseminating port activity.
During the meeting held, Jorge Ramos invited the head of ProMéxico to visit Cádiz and its Free Trade Zone and explained the importance of the Cádiz Institution and the possibilities that are now opening up with the expansion and expansion process in which the Cádiz Consortium is working, taking into account that new productive spaces will be created for the establishment of companies, taking advantage of the customs and fiscal advantages of a tax area.
Jorge Ramos destacó también la importancia de la provincia de Cádiz como eje logístico y detalló que está preparada para atraer parte de los flujos comerciales de América y Asia, que entran en la Unión Europea en más de un 80% por los puertos de Rotterdam y de Hamburgo.
