Ramos will visit Park Hee Kwon in the coming months to deepen relations and channel the flow of information between both parties
The Special Delegate of the State in the Cádiz Free Trade Zone Consortium, Jorge Ramos, held a meeting last Tuesday with the South Korean ambassador to Spain, Park Hee Kwon, at the Campo de Gibraltar Chamber of Commerce, in Algeciras, which was also attended by the mayor of the city, Jose Ignacio Landaluce, the president of the Chamber, Carlos Fenoy, as well as a representative of Red Logística de Andalusia and the University of Cádiz (UCA).
In this meeting, the ambassador was explained to the ambassador the project in which the Zona Franca is immersed in expansion and expansion to the entire province and, especially, in the Bay of Algeciras, which will allow it to have a surface area of fiscal premises of approximately 300,000 m2.
Ramos offered such an expansion for the installation of South Korean companies, both in logistics and production, taking advantage of their clear competitiveness due to the customs and fiscal advantages of a fiscal precinct and thus intensify the economic presence and of this industrial power in the area of the Bay of Algeciras and, practically, "at the foot of the ship."” of the great Port of Algeciras.
During his speech, the delegate delved into the free zone planned for the land he owns in the Pastores-Cortijo Real, where it will be possible to have, on an area of up to more than 225,000 m2, a net piece of industrial land of more than 115,000 m2 and that the necessary modification of the planning is already drafted and about to be presented to the Algeciras City Council for processing.
Along the same lines, Ramos also announced the full agreement reached with Red Logística de Andalucía to convert the El Fresno facility into a new tax facility in Los Barrios and in which land close to 90,000 m2 will be available.
The highest representative of the Cadiz tax institution offered these strategic locations to the ambassador, whom he announced his intention to visit in the coming months to channel a flow of information regarding this offer of the Cadiz Free Zone to the industries and logistics operators of South Korea.
