The works, awarded to Acciona Infraestructuras, have a Reindus subsidy of 1.7 million euros
The beginning of the construction works of the 28 nest warehouses that Zona Franca is developing in Rota, in collaboration with the municipal government, is now a reality. This was confirmed yesterday morning by the State delegate in the Free Trade Zone, Jorge Ramos, and the mayor of Rota, Eva Corrales, during a visit to the works of these warehouses, located in the “Villa de Rota” Industrial and Business Park.” (RI1), at the entrance to the city, next to the new access roundabout on Avenida de la Libertad.
Prior to this visit, the mayor; the State delegate in the Free Trade Zone; the first deputy mayor and Government partner, Lorenzo Sánchez; the CEO of the municipal Economic Development company of Rota, SODESA, María del Carmen Laynez; and technicians from the Free Trade Zone, met at the Castillo de Luna to begin the marketing of these warehouses, which will promote the development of the only industrial land, and which will respond to entrepreneurs or already established companies by making available attractive and affordable nest warehouses where they can create their businesses, grow and generate employment, something that is a priority for both the Cádiz Consortium and the municipal government.
Zona Franca and the Rota City Council are not only working on the marketing of the warehouses, but are also looking for financing avenues that will facilitate, in these especially complicated times, the access of local entrepreneurs and businessmen to these warehouses in the new industrial and commercial estate of Rota.
During the visit, Eva Corrales highlighted the contribution and sensitivity of the Government of the Nation and the Free Trade Zone, placing special emphasis on the commitment that the municipal Government has maintained for this necessary and important project for Rota entrepreneurs, for the local business fabric and for economic growth in the town.
The works, in figures
The works, awarded to Acciona Infraestructuras for an amount of 1,434,928.32 euros (VAT not included), have a Reindus subsidy from the Ministry of Industry and Energy of 1.7 million euros.
The work consists of the construction of a set of nest ships made up of four modules with similar characteristics that are distributed symmetrically on the plot. Each module is made up of seven naves, one larger in the corner and six in between, all of them composed of a ground floor and a mezzanine. The ships have different dimensions, ranging from 200 to 590 m.² and are built on a plot of 7,407.83 m².
It is worth remembering that this action is the result of joint work between institutions and that it comes to light thanks to a collaboration agreement for the development, promotion and marketing of this set of warehouses signed in 2013 by the State delegate in the Free Trade Zone and the mayor. of Rota.
