The special delegate of the State of the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz, Jorge Ramos, met at the Consortium's Headquarters with the commercial and economic advisor of the Embassy of Ecuador in Spain, Juan Carlos Apunte Franco, who made the visit accompanied by the director of the Department of International Training and Employment of the Chamber of Commerce of Cádiz, Manuel Alvarez Fernández.
During the meeting, in which technicians from the Consortium were also present, Jorge Ramos explained to the Ecuadorian representative the future projects of the Cádiz Free Trade Zone, highlighting the plans to expand the tax area to other municipalities in the province.
Both the head of the Cádiz Consortium and Juan Carlos Apunte were willing to look for ways of collaboration between Ecuador and Cádiz in order to enhance commercial exchange between both countries and more specifically between the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz and free zones on the other side of the Atlantic. . In addition, Jorge Ramos offered the Cádiz Free Trade Zone as Ecuador's gateway to European and African markets.
This meeting is part of the new line of work defined by the Cádiz Consortium, which is beginning to see fruits of the contacts maintained in the national and international trips carried out to promote the Southern European Logistics Platform.
The Ecuadorian commercial advisor and the representative of the Chamber of Commerce ended their visit with a tour of the different facilities of the Fiscal Precinct, in which they were able to see first-hand the economic activity and the important movement of merchandise and in which they were accompanied by management staff of the Free Zone, who also showed them the activity of the Free Zone Business Center.
