The Southern European Logistics Platform, an initiative promoted by the mayor of Cádiz, Teófila Martínez, and put into operation by the Free Zone and the city councils of Cádiz, Jerez and Algeciras and the Provincial Council of Cádiz, is announced today in Tangier within the framework of the III Moroccan Hispanic Business Meeting of the Transport and Logistics sector that is being held until tomorrow, Thursday in the Moroccan city.
Representatives of the Cádiz Consortium, the three aforementioned town councils and the Provincial Council have traveled to the neighboring country in order to present the Platform during the meeting, organized by the Spanish Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tangier.
This event, promoted by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, through the Spanish Embassy in Rabat, Economic and Commercial Office in Rabat and Casablanca, takes place on March 5 and 6, 2014.
The main objective of the Meeting, in which there will also be several business conferences, is to bring together Spanish and Moroccan companies from the Transport and Logistics sector in Tangier with a view to promoting a meeting between companies in the sector, in a regulated and synergistic environment, with official Moroccan institutions and organizations, in order to increase the efficiency and competitiveness of Spanish and Moroccan companies, through cooperation.
Representatives from the chambers of commerce of Cádiz and Algeciras and companies related to the maritime and logistics sector also attend on the Cádiz side.
