The Free Zone celebrated the traditional Christmas breakfast with the media

The State Delegate in the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz, Jorge Ramos, celebrated this Thursday the traditional Christmas breakfast with the media in the facilities of the Europa Building, specifically in the only free premises in that new building. Ramos was accompanied by the Consortium's management team, whom he thanked for the efforts made in 2013, a year he described as "of consolidation of the Free Trade Zone and frenetic activity."
 The person in charge of the Cádiz Institution reviewed the 2013 financial year and pointed out that "it has been a year of opening to the outside, to the province", while detailing the steps taken to implement the tax precinct in other municipalities, such as Jerez, Los Barrios, Algeciras or La Línea, associating this expansion of the precinct with the initiative promoted by Teófila Martínez and which is being launched with the help of Zona Franca, City Council of Cádiz, Jerez and Algeciras, the Logistics Platform of Southern Europe.
The State delegate explained that times of crisis like the current one, despite the difficulties, must serve to take advantage of any opportunity and not stop working and pointed out that this is a clear reflection of the Free Trade Zone, which this year has developed strong activity to promote economic activity and create employment, in addition to the consolidation of the idea of ​​the Logistics Platform as an ongoing project.
In this sense, Ramos pointed out that the Cádiz Consortium plays a fundamental role by having the customs and tax advantages of a free zone, a key characteristic to be competitive and that "Cádiz is not only a province of distribution but also of production." The delegate took the opportunity to thank the minister for the recent presentation in Cádiz of the logistics map of Spain.
Jorge Ramos was optimistic when speaking about the future and stressed that the Cádiz Free Trade Zone is already a reality throughout the province, with important projects in different municipalities such as the rehabilitation of the San Agustín Convent in Jerez, the Vejer Business Center, the new Tiro Janer Business Park in San Fernando or the Administrative Building in Algeciras, among others.
The head of the Cádiz Institution emphasized the need for collaboration between institutions and "work is being done along these lines", maintaining contacts with different administrations throughout the province and promoting a return to the origin of the Free Trade Zone, trade.
Jorge Ramos concluded his speech by emphasizing the exciting challenge of having this Logistics Platform in Cádiz and made an invitation to collaborate with the University of Cádiz (UCA) with the aim that young people from Cádiz take advantage of the opportunity and prepare themselves through specialized studies in Foreign Trade.
