A group of 30 students of 2º of Baccalaureate and two teachers from the Salmedina Institute of Chipiona today visited the facilities of the Free Trade Zone in Cádiz, within the open door program that the Consortium launched last year to make citizens aware of its work and that of the companies installed in its Interior Campus. This visit begins the program for the current 2013-14 academic year, which was put on hold in the summer until the start of the new academic year.
The day began in the auditorium of the Heracles Building, where an audiovisual of the history and activity of the Consortium was projected, in which special mention was made of the support that Zona Franca provides to entrepreneurs. Next, the person in charge of the Project Development Department of the Free Zone, Javier Gutiérrez, and the technician of the Commercial Department, Elsa Martín, offered a talk-discussion about the present and the future challenges of the Cádiz Institution.
After visiting the Melkart building, the group moved to the offices of Documentary Services of Andalusia (SDA), where a technical advisor from this Consortium company showed them the work and details of the document archiving and custody service, which counts among its clients numerous administrations in the province.
After a tour of the exterior, students and teachers ended their visit in the Plenary Hall of the Institution, where they were received by the Special Delegate of the State, Jorge Ramos, and they were presented with a commemorative gift, the book of the 80 years of History of the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz.
The guided tour program launched by the Free Trade Zone aims to make the Institution known to Cádiz society and share the activity and projects it is carrying out, as well as the change of image and strategy promoted by the new State Delegate, Jorge Ramos.
