Zona Franca and Jerez City Council will create a joint office to manage the Tax Precinct in the municipality

The office will be in the Jerez Technology Park and will manage the land on which the tax facility will be located.
This morning, the Cádiz Free Trade Zone sent the Jerez City Council the collaboration agreement drawn up by the Consortium's technicians for the creation of a joint office. This agreement will regulate the implementation of said office, which will be in charge of managing the tax area of the Free Zone in the municipality.
The entity, which will be made up of technicians from both administrations and will manage the land that will eventually be allocated to implement the Free Trade Zone in Jerez, will be located in the Agroindustrial Scientific and Technological Park (PCTA) of Jerez and will be in charge of combining the capacities and competencies of both institutions, with the purpose of adequate coordination and flow of permanent information.
The delegate of the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz, Jorge Ramos, and the mayor of Jerez, María José García-Pelayo, held a meeting a month ago to outline different aspects of the implementation of the tax precinct, including the constitution of this mixed office to implement all the steps of this project with the objective that, according to the forecasts advanced by Jorge Ramos, a preliminary study of the same can be sent to the Ministry of Finance in January 2014, in which needs are specified.
Las functions of this joint office will serve as a mutual information point for the study and detailed knowledge of the current situation of the land and the study, definition and prioritization of actions in said area in accordance with the approved or approved urban planning.
It will also prepare the land dossier for inclusion in the proposal that the Consortium submits to the Ministry of Finance to obtain the necessary authorizations and will prepare the development planning or planning innovations in collaboration with the City Council's Urban Planning Management.
It will also carry out the negotiation process with the affected owners and propose the formalization of urban planning agreements between administrations or between them and owners within the framework of what is established in this regard in the Urban Planning Law of Andalusia, in addition to preparing preliminary projects, economic feasibility studies of possible actions.
The entity will be in charge of preparing the annual budgets in monetary terms and in contributions by each administration of non-monetary resources (facilities, personnel, etc.) that must be approved by the competent bodies of each of them. It will also study the suitability of other formulas to promote and manage the Campus through entities with their own legal personality.
The signing of this agreement between the Free Trade Zone and Jerez City Council is a very important step for the implementation of the tax precinct in the city, which will have an approximate area of 250,000 square meters.
Both institutions have always shown a great willingness to cooperate and develop joint projects and consider that the launch of the Free Trade Zone in Jerez will be a highly valuable tool to bring projects to the city that boost the Jerez economy.
